Step by step
How the Bail Bond Process Works in Florida
The steps
- 1
Call or request a callback
Tell us who was arrested and where they're being held, if you know.
- 2
We look up the details
We confirm the charges, bail amount and the facility.
- 3
Simple paperwork
An agent walks you through what's needed and the fee.
- 4
We post the bond
We handle posting with the jail so release can begin.
- 5
Release & next steps
We explain court dates and what the defendant needs to do.
What to have before calling
The defendant's full name, date of birth, and the facility holding them help the most. Booking numbers, charges, and the bond amount are useful but not required.
Paperwork and co-signers
The bond agreement is usually signed by a co-signer (indemnitor) who accepts responsibility for the defendant meeting the bond's conditions. Your agent will explain every document before you sign.
Posting vs. actual release
Posting the bond and walking out of jail are two separate steps. After posting, the jail completes its own release processing, and that timing is controlled by the facility. We can't guarantee a release time.
Court appearance responsibility
The defendant must attend every required court date. Missing court can lead to a warrant and financial consequences under the bond agreement.
If you don't know the bond amount yet
Bond may not be set until booking is complete or a judge reviews the case. Call anyway — we can help find available information and explain what to expect.
